Family And Consumer Sciences To Hold Focus Day Activities Feb. 7

Baylor University's department of family and consumer sciences will hold its annual Focus Day activities from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, in the Mary Gibbs-Jones Building on campus.
"Focus Day exposes our students to the choices of careers available in family and consumer sciences and provides our students with the chance to meet with professionals in the field and to learn current information about various topics," said Dr. Janelle Walter, associate professor of family and consumer sciences.
Lectures on such topics as the latest trends in textiles, health and wellness, the environment and Alzheimer's Disease and creating a "green" environment will be delivered from 9 to 11 a.m. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. exhibitors will set up displays dealing with interior and fashion design, health, child development, nutrition and fashion merchandising.
