Steppin' Out Scheduled For March 25

March 22, 2000

More than 3,000 volunteers are expected to participate in Baylor University's 14th annual Steppin' Out day of service on Saturday, March 25. The event is designed to bridge the gap between the Waco community and Baylor students through participation in various service projects.
Campus and Waco community organizations and volunteers will meet on the Baylor campus at 8 a.m. in front of the Bill Daniel Student Center for breakfast and to receive job assignments and supplies. They will travel to one of 120 job sites. This year's service projects include painting, landscaping, construction, neighborhood clean up, and visits to retirement centers.
Volunteers will gather at noon at the Student Union Bowl to return their supplies, and a celebration of service with music, food and fellowship will conclude the day of service.
This year's event is directed by Baylor juniors Kellie Lenz and Ryan Willard.
