March 15, 2000

Baylor University's J.M. Dawson Institute of Church-State Studies will host a brown bag lecture series on two Mondays during March. The presentations will begin at noon in the James Wood Seminar Room, 323 Carroll Library.
Dr. Derek Davis, director of the Institute and associate professor of political science, will speak March 20 on "Responses to Ethnic Cleansing: Report on the Stockholm Conference." On March 27, Gregory O. Nies, a graduate student, will discuss "Seeking Refuge: Petitioning for Asylum in the United States."
"The purpose of the seminars is to encourage discussion and dialogue in an informal setting," said Dr. Nikolas Gvosdev, associate director of the Institute.
Those attending the presentations should bring their own lunch. Coffee will be provided.
