Christmas Music Programs at Baylor University

The Baylor University School of Music will celebrate the Christmas season with a series of eight concerts within a five-day span.
The annual Choral Christmas Concerts will open the programs on Friday and Saturday. Both performances will begin at 8 p.m. in Jones Concert Hall in the Glennis McCrary Music Building. Four of Baylor's major choral ensembles will take part: A Cappella Choir, Concert Choir, Women's Chorus, and Men's Glee Club. Members of the Baylor Symphony Orchestra also will participate. Tickets for the Choral Christmas concerts are priced at $5. They may be purchased at the School of Music (Roxy Grove Hall, Room 200) or placed on reserve by calling 710-3991.
Three concerts by the Chamber Singers will be presented at 3 p.m. Sunday, at 8 p.m. Monday and at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Armstrong Browning Library's McLean Foyer of Meditation. Tickets for the Chamber Singers concerts are priced at $5. They may be purchased at the School of Music (Roxy Grove Hall, Room 200) or placed on reserve by calling 710-3991.
Note: The Sunday afternoon concert by the Chamber Singers has already been sold out.
Two carillon recitals offer Christmas themes. Carillonneurs Herbert Colvin and Lynnette Geary will present a recital at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, on the McLane Carillon in Pat Neff Hall Tower. Four of Dr. Colvin's students will play a Christmas recital at 5 p.m. on Monday on the McLane Carillon. Both events are free.
The Baylor Handbell Choir will present a program of Christmas music at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, in Meadows Recital Hall in the Glennis McCrary Music Building. The event is free.
