Baylor University's Center for Community Learning and Enrichment will host "This Thing Talks When My Mouth Moves" on Saturday, Dec. 11, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Hillcrest Professional Development School, 4225 Pine Ave. The class, which is part of the center's continuing Super Saturday series, is open to children in grades first through third. The class will be led by Rick Strot, lecturer in curriculum and instruction and well-known local puppeteer. Strot will teach participants how to use puppets to create zany, entertaining shows. The cost is $20 per child.
Super Saturday classes run on selected weekends November through April and are open to elementary and middle school students. Classes scheduled for 2000 will explore various topics, including math probability, the world of motion, vertebrate anatomy, DNA fingerprinting, videoconferencing and a special course for seventh- and eighth-grade girls on transitions and changes they will face.
