About 1,000 high school juniors and seniors and their parents will visit Baylor University Oct. 16, for the annual Fall Premiere.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. in the Ferrell Center, followed by an informational session on admissions and financial aid at 9 a.m. Visiting high school students and their parents also will be able to visit with Baylor students and faculty and learn about campus activities and organizations.
Afternoon sessions will focus on the fields of academic study offered at Baylor and will allow students and parents to attend presentations given by Baylor professors.
"This gives potential Baylor students an idea of what the classroom setting is like at Baylor," said Kevin Kirk, assistant director of admissions services.
In the closing session at 4 p.m., students and their parents will have an opportunity to watch Baylor students present performances from such traditions at Baylor as All-University Sing and Pigskin Review.
The Winter Premiere will take place Jan. 29 and is generally for high school seniors and transfer students. The Spring Premiere is Apr. 15 and it is targeted toward high school juniors.
