Baylor to Host 'MA Dance Camp' July 16-18

WACO, Texas - Young women from throughout Texas will head to Baylor University to attend the Marching Auxiliaries of America (MA) Dance Camp for high school students July 16-18.
MA, which is based in Dallas, holds dance camps across the country each year and sponsors Dance Nationals in San Antonio.
This year, approximately 80 young women from drill teams and dance studios will attend the MA camp at Baylor. The camp dance instructors are women from the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, the Dallas Mavericks, Stephen F. Austin State University and Sam Houston State University. They will focus on teaching students many different aspects of dancing, including jazz, prop, novelty and pom.
There also will be team-building activities and a final performance open to the public. During the final performances, participants may receive honor roll medals and All-American invitations to the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla., during New Year's week. A grand champion trophy will be awarded.
