Resurrection Week at Baylor Scheduled for March 29-31

Baptist Student Ministries of Baylor University and a committee of representatives from local churches will present lectures and a revival Monday through Wednesday, March 29-31, to celebrate Resurrection Week. This year's theme for Resurrection Week is "Celebrate the Passion."
Each night at 7 p.m., a revival service will be held in Waco Hall. Evangelist Adrian Despres from Columbia, South Carolina, will host the revivals. Christian musical group, Watermark, from Houston's First Baptist Church Metro Bible Study will perform.
Despres also will hold a "Christianity Questions and Answers" session at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Drawing Room.
The three faculty lectures will be held at 3:30 p.m. in Kayser Auditorium in the Hankamer School of Business. On Monday, Dr. Caleb Oladipo, lecturer in sociology and African studies, will lecture on "The Impact of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ on African Christianity." Dr. Rosalie Beck, associate professor of religion, will lecture on "Jesus and the Day of Controversy" on Tuesday and Wednesday. Also on Wednesday, Dr. Randall O'Brien, acting chair of the department of religion, will lecture on "Resurrection: Is It Real? Is It Relevant?"
