Baylor to Host Missions Emphasis Week

Baylor University's Baptist Student Ministry (BSM) will host Missions Emphasis Week Monday through Wednesday, Oct. 19-21, on the Baylor campus.
More than 28 missionaries from throughout the world will share their missionary experiences with students and faculty. The missionaries will speak during Baylor classes, luncheons and special seminars hosted by the BSM. They will talk with students informally and present pictures and artifacts of the countries they minister to during a missions fair held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 20-21 in the lobby of the Bill Daniel Student Center.
"Missions Emphasis Week gives missionaries a chance to share the advancement of the Gospel in other countries and to inspire Baylor students to consider committing their lives to short term or career missionary endeavors," said Cliff Mouser, director of the Baylor BSM.
Events for Tuesday, Oct. 20, include attendance by missionaries at Dr Pepper Hour from 3-4 p.m., BDSC, 7-8:30 p.m. dessert mixer with missionary kids and international students, Bill Daniel Student Center (BDSC). Tuesday seminars are: 4-5 p.m. "Technology in Missions," Castellaw Communications Building, Room 101; 4-5 p.m. "Education Issues in Missions," Draper Academic Building, Room 152; 5-6 p.m. "Medical Missions," Mars McLean Science Building, Room 334; 6-7 p.m. "Short Term Missions," White Beckham Room, BDSC; 8 p.m. "Global Awareness," BDSC. Events for Wednesday, Oct. 21, are: 7-8 p.m. concert of prayer, Memorial Drawing Room; 9:30-10:30 a.m. seminar on the "Cooperative Baptist Fellowship," Truett Seminary; 8-9 p.m. seminar on "Singleness & Marriage," White Beckham Room., BDSC.
