Global Missions Coordinator to Speak at Chapel

Keith Parks, global missions coordinator for Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, will speak at 10 and 11 a.m. Monday during Chapel Forum in Waco Hall. His appearance on campus is a highlight of Missions Emphasis Week.

Parks is a native Texan who has ministered all over the world. In 1948, Parks spent the summer on San Andres Island, South America. He served on the Foreign Mission Board as a missionary in Indonesia from 1954-1968. While overseas, Parks planted and developed churches, ignited evangelism efforts with seminary students in unchurched areas of Central Java, and pioneered in the field of clinical pastoral education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has published two books, Crosscurrents (Convention Press, 1966) and World in View (New Hope Press, 1987).
