Baylor University international students will be celebrating Parents Weekend Saturday, Oct. 10, thanks to their adopted host families, faculty members and the Waco community.
Students representing 58 countries will "meet and mingle" during a reception given in their honor from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Barfield Drawing Room in the Bill Daniel Student Center.
"This is an opportunity for a lot of people to welcome international students and say we're glad you're here," said Beth Walker, campus and community involvement adviser for the Baylor Office of International Programs. "By having so many people involved -- host families, other students and their parents, faculty -- it gives international students a sense of home and family, especially on Parents Weekend."
