WACO, Texas (April 19, 2022) – Baylor University has launched the NextGen Bears Program, an annual celebration of the future generations of Baylor Bears that offers parents, grandparents, family and friends the opportunity to purchase a spirit box filled with an exclusive collection of Baylor gear specially curated for ages 0-13+. Included in the cost of the spirit box is a gift that supports Baylor’s ongoing mission of educating men and women for worldwide leadership and service.

“We are thrilled to provide our future Bears their own special way to connect with the University,” said Amy Armstrong, associate vice president of alumni engagement at Baylor. “The NextGen Bears program is the latest addition to our already robust portfolio of Alumni Engagement programs. The program allows us to simultaneously support Baylor’s mission and offer our constituents a fun way to introduce their future Bears to Baylor. We can’t wait to take a peek into the future of the University, and the future looks bright.”

Spirit boxes will be available to order through the end of May with boxes scheduled to ship in early August. All boxes for children ages 4-13+ include a NextGen shirt, Dr Pepper jellybeans, NextGen Bears stickers and a commemorative Baylor pennant. In addition to these items, each box will feature specific items suited for its respective age group. For example, the box for ages 0-3 includes a NextGen Bears onesie or t-shirt, Bear plush, silicone bib and commemorative pennant.
