Baylor to Host Missions Ministries Conference

Baylor will host the Texas International and Literacy Missions Ministries Conference June 11-13 for members of the Baptist Literacy Missions Center or Baptist Student Ministries, international ministries volunteers and anyone interested in mission work.

Participants will arrive Thursday, June 11, between 9:30-10:45 a.m. for registration and check-in. Seminars for both experienced volunteers and new workers will be taught by missionaries, authors and other volunteers experienced in music and teaching foreign languages. Seminar topics include cross-cultural training, teaching English overseas, criminal justice ministries and tutoring children. Special events include dramatic performances by Eleanor Davis, a former missionary and accomplished musician, and the Waco Columbus Avenue Drama Group.

The $140 fee includes conference registration, a two-night stay in a campus dorm and six meals in the dorm dining room.
