April 20, 1998

Baylor University's annual Diadeloso celebration will take place Thursday at Baylor's intramural fields, located at Bagby Avenue and University Parks Drive.
Diadeloso, Spanish for "Day of the Bear," is a day of campus recreation for students and faculty, with no classes scheduled.
The celebration will begin at 8 a.m. with a 5-K fun run. Various tournaments including 3-on-3 basketball, tug-of-war, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, golf, taboo, pool, racquetball and tennis will be held throughout the day. Most activities will be at the intramural fields.
In addition, campus organizations will sponsor food and game booths. Various types of entertainment also will be presented during the day. These include hypnotist Terry Stokes, jugglers Grinn and Barrett, and music by Fat Kid Randy and Little Foster and the Unknown Blues Band.
Spring elections for the Baylor student body and class officers and Student Congress representatives will also be held at the Diadeloso site throughout the day.
T-shirts may be purchased in campus cafeterias, the Bill Daniel Student Center and the Baylor Chamber of Commerce office. In addition, students may register for the various tournaments in the Chamber office.
