Multimedia Workshops Set for April

March 31, 1998

Hyperstudio Madness, a one-day multimedia workshop for students in second through fifth grade, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 4, 18 and 25. Sponsored by Baylor University's Center for Learning Abilities and Talent Development, all workshop sessions will take place in the Education Learning Center computer lab on the second floor of the Draper Academic Building.
Children who participate in the workshop will use a drawing and paint program, learn to use clip art and graphics, add sound to a project, interact with the Internet and make a journal with photographs and drawings.
"Not all schools have Hyperstudio because it is an expensive program," said Gerald McGregor, a Baylor graduate student who will teach the workshop. "We want to expose kids to Hyperstudio and to give them a chance to play with it."
The cost to attend the workshop is $20 and registration is required. For more information, call 710-6136.
