Fiesta on the River Set for April 2

March 31, 1998

The 11th annual Fiesta on the River, a Baylor University tradition that combines culture and fun, will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday in Minglewood Bowl, between the Bear Pit and the Baylor Bookstore. The festivities will last until 11 p.m.
Three bands are scheduled to play, including Delta Tau Delta's "Fat Kid Randy," the University High School Mariachi Band and "Seven Channels," a Christian rock band from Dallas.
This year there is more emphasis than ever before on providing entertainment for children. There will be many games and inexpensive activities, including a "Velcro" wall and a moonwalk.
Sponsored by the Residence Hall Association, Fiesta is an all-University event that brings the Baylor and Waco communities together. Admission is free, and it is open to the public. In case of rain, the event will be moved to Tuesday, April 7.
