In appreciation for the ongoing support of the Waco and Central Texas communities, Baylor University will host a free event for families Friday, Oct. 1, at the Ferrell Center.
Heart of Texas Community Night will feature a free meal to be served at 6 p.m., followed by the showing of a free movie at 7:30 p.m. Inflatable games will be available outside the Ferrell Center for families to enjoy beginning at 5:30 p.m., and Baylor athletes will be on hand to shoot a basket, swing a golf club and sign autographs.
"Community Night is an opportunity for Baylor to say 'thank you' to Waco and other Central Texas communities for all that they do to support the university," said James Odom, director of public affairs at Baylor. "We appreciate our neighbors very much, and this event is just a small token of our gratitude."
Heart of Texas Community Night is sponsored by the Baylor Ambassadors. For additional information, contact the office of public affairs at 710-1421.
