Campus Facilities Will Be Closed for Thanksgiving

WACO, Texas (Nov. 19, 2018) – From Wednesday, Nov. 21, through Friday, Nov. 23, Baylor University will be closed in observance of Thanksgiving. The following are changes to campus facility hours.

Residential Halls

  • Residence halls will remain open throughout the week.

Dining and Retail Services
  • All restaurants in the Baylor Sciences Building and the Student Union Building will close at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, and will remain closed until Monday, Nov. 26. Panda Express will open Sunday, Nov. 25.
  • Au Bon Pain and East Village Bakery will be closed from Tuesday, Nov. 21 to Sunday, Nov. 25. Au Bon Pain will close at 3 p.m. and East Village Bakery at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20.
  • The Penland P.O.D. will stay open throughout the week. It will have normal hours on Monday, Nov. 19. On Tuesday, Nov. 20, Wednesday, Nov. 21, and Friday, Nov. 23, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. On Thursday, Nov. 22, it will be open from 2 to 9 p.m.
  • Moody Starbucks will close at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, and will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 22, to Friday, Nov. 24. It will reopen at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25.
  • Brooks Great Hall, East Village Dining Commons and 1845 at Memorial will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 21 to Sunday, Nov. 25.
  • The Penland Crossroads will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 21 through Saturday, Nov. 24. It will open at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 25.
  • The Law School Café will close at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, and will remain closed until Sunday, Nov. 25. The Terrace Café will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 21, to Sunday, Nov. 25.

Libraries
  • Central Libraries will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21. Central Libraries will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 21, to Saturday, Nov. 24. Normal hours will resume Sunday, Nov. 25.
  • Moody 24-hour areas will be open until 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21. Moody 24-hour areas will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 21, to Saturday, Nov. 24. Normal hours will resume Sunday, Nov. 25.
  • Armstrong Browning Library will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 21, to Sunday, Nov. 25.
  • W.R. Poage Library and Graduate Research Center will close at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, and will remain closed through Sunday, Nov. 25.
  • The GRC incubator will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, and will remain closed through Saturday, Nov. 24. It will reopen at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25.
  • The Texas Collection will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 21, to Sunday, Nov. 25.

McLane Student Life Center
  • The McLane Student Life Center will close at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, and will remain closed through Saturday, Nov. 24. It will reopen at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25.
  • The rock wall will close at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, and will remain closed through Sunday, Nov. 25.
  • The pool will close at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, and will remain closed through Sunday, Nov. 25.
  • Russell Gym will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 20, through Sunday, Nov. 25.

Bill Daniel Student Center/Mailroom
  • The Student Union Building will close at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, and will remain closed Wednesday, Nov. 21, to Sunday, Nov. 25.
  • The mailroom will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 21, to Sunday, Nov. 25.

Campus Bookstore
  • The bookstore will have normal hours on Monday, Nov. 19, and Tuesday, Nov. 20, from 7:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. The bookstore will be closed from Wednesday, Nov. 21, to Sunday, Nov. 25.
