Welcome Back Celebration Thursday For Baylor's Gold Medalists

Baylor University will host a welcome back celebration in honor of Baylor's Olympic gold medalists, junior Jeremy Wariner and senior Darold Williamson, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, in the Ferrell Center on the Baylor campus. The event is free and open to the public. Doors to the Ferrell Center will open at 7 p.m.
Wariner captured the gold medal in the 400 meters with a time of 44.00, leading the United States to a 1-2-3 sweep in the event. Wariner, running third, and Williamson, running anchor, then led the 4x400 relay to a gold medal, winning by nearly five seconds. The two runners are coached by legendary Baylor track coach Clyde Hart, who also will be on hand for the ceremonies.
