Baylor Schedules Family Business Seminar for Dec. 8

WACO, Texas - Baylor University's Institute for Family Business will present a seminar on Recapitalizing the Company, the 10th program in its 1997 Waco Family Business Seminar Series, Monday, Dec. 8, in the Hankamer School of Business.
The program will start at 12:30 p.m. with lunch, followed by a class presentation from 2-3:20 p.m. by Peter Z. Hermann, a founding partner of Heritage Partners Inc., Boston. A group question and answer session will be held from 3:20-4 p.m.
Doris Sandberg, program director of the Institute for Family Business, described Hermann as "one of the nation's leading venture capitalists." She said Heritage Partners specializes in working with private, family owned companies. Herman holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Sussex, England, and a master's degree in business and economics from Oxford University.
The 1997 Waco Family Business Seminar Series was planned by the Institute for Family Business specifically for family-owned firms in the Waco area. Sandberg said, "The seminar series is designed to develop skills and strategies for a healthy family business."
