The Lyceum Series to Present Christopher Millard Nov. 21-22

Christopher Millard, principal bassoonist of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and the CBC Vancouver Orchestra since 1975, will present a series of master classes and a recital Nov. 21-22 as part of the Baylor University School of Music's Lyceum Series.
All three master classes will be in Meadows Recital Hall-on Friday, Nov. 21, from 9 a.m. to noon and from 2-3:30 p.m., and on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Millard will also present a pair of reed-making classes for bassoon students. The classes will be offered in Room 131 of the Glennis McCrary Music Building on Friday, Nov. 21, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and again on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 2-5 p.m.
The recital will take place in Meadows Recital Hall at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22. Assisting Christopher Millard will be pianist and harpsichordist John Cozza, who serves Baylor as assistant professor of piano and coordinator of accompanying; Kenton Moore, assistant professor of bassoon; and pianist Zhe Li, a graduate student from Shenyang, China.
The Lyceum Series is funded annually by the Meadows Foundation of Dallas. All events are free and open to the public.
