WACO, Texas (Dec. 13, 2017) — Baylor University's fall graduating class of 2017 will enter their next phase of life as they walk the graduation stage during the commencement ceremonies on Saturday, Dec. 16, at the Ferrell Center, 1900 S. University Parks Drive.

Baylor Commencement Ceremonies

The academic units that will participate in the 9:30 a.m. ceremony include the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Engineering and Computer Science, School of Music, School of Education, Diana R. Garland School of Social Work and all related graduate degrees.

The ceremony for the Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences, Hankamer School of Business, Louise Herrington School of Nursing and all related graduate degrees will take place at

2:30 p.m.

Baylor President Linda A. Livingstone, Ph.D., will preside over the ceremonies and present graduates with their diplomas.

George W. Truett Theological Seminary commencement ceremony
Baylor's George W. Truett Theological Seminary commencement ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at First Baptist Church Waco, 500 Webster Ave. A reception will follow the ceremony in the Fellowship Hall.

Baylor Business School Graduate Hooding Ceremonies

The Hooding Ceremony for graduating accounting students will take place from 9:30 to 10 a.m. in Room 240 of the Paul Foster L. Foster Campus for Business and Innovation, 1621 S. Third St. Seating for ceremony will begin at 9 a.m.

A reception will follow the Hooding Ceremony in Room 250.

The Hooding Ceremony for students in MSIS, MSECO, MBA and Online MBA Programs will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in McClinton Auditorium of the Paul Foster L. Foster Campus for Business and Innovation. Seating for Hooding Ceremony will begin at 10:15 a.m.

Parking

The parking lot at Ferrell Center is accessible from both University Parks Drive and LaSalle Avenue. Parking for physically impaired individuals is accessible from the Daughtrey Street entrance off University Parks Drive. A circular drive located at the main entrance to Ferrell Center is available for those people wishing to drop off guests. Those with handicapped or elderly guests should ask a parking attendant for curbside drop-off before parking.

Guests may be diverted to parking in the East Campus Garage on Daughtrey Avenue. Baylor DPS officers and parking assistants will direct guests to the garage; shuttle service to Ferrell is provided at no cost.

Seating

Seating for Commencement is first come, first served. Attendees are recommended to allow sufficient time to park and be seated. If a disabled or elderly person will require accommodations, plan to arrive early to avoid crowds in the parking areas and along the concourse. Wheelchair seating is available inside the arena with rows in front of the area for family members.

Streaming

Baylor has provided live streaming of commencement ceremonies since 2008. More information will be provided regarding the live stream for the Dec. 16, 2017, ceremony nearer the date of commencement here. Photography

Flash Photography will serve as the official photographer for commencement. Flash will photograph each graduate as he/she receives the diploma from the President and will take one additional shot after the graduate leaves the stage.
