Baylor Fall Fest Set for Sept. 17

September 16, 1997

Baylor University's annual Fall Fest, aimed at encouraging student involvement, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Fountain Mall, located on Fifth Street.
Various university and community organizations will set up information booths and distribute materials to all interested students on how to become involved in campus and community activities.
More than 60 student groups, ranging from academic organizations to professional and social organizations, and 40 Waco service agencies are expected to participate.
The goal of Fall Fest is to promote individual organizations while providing students who are not already involved with an information source for becoming involved, according to Felice Szeto, coordinator of student involvement.
Students are required to earn a 2.5 grade-point average before joining an organization and are required to maintain a 2.25 grade-point average once involved.
Dr Pepper will be served, and Urban Underground will provide music for the event.
Fall Fest is sponsored by Baylor's Student Involvement Board. For more information, call Student Activities at 710-2371.
