Truett Seminary to Host Spring Safari '97 Mar. 20-21

March 5, 1997

Baylor University's George W. Truett Seminary will host Spring Safari '97 Thursday and Friday, Mar. 20-21, at the seminary.
The Safari is designed to introduce Truett Seminary and Baylor University to prospective 1997-1998 seminary students and will give visitors the opportunity to sit in seminary classes, visit with students and faculty, talk with administrators regarding financial aid, housing, placement, and more.
The Safari will begin at 6 p.m., Thursday, March 20, and conclude with dinner on Friday, March 21. Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet with representatives of counseling, music, education, gerontology, missions, and other concentrations.
"The Safari gives prospective students an opportunity to interact with faculty, students, and administration so they have a better understanding of the curriculum we offer, the placement opportunities, and financial aid," said Stacy Houser, director of student life and church relations at Truett. Houser said one hundred percent of those who attended the first event last year enrolled in the seminary. This year's first year class numbered 47. The current total enrollment is 141.
