Baylor's Truett Lecture to Feature Dallas News Columnist Feb. 12

WACO, Texas -- William Murchison, a nationally-syndicated columnist for the Dallas Morning News, will be the guest speaker at the 9:30 a.m. Feb. 12 Ash Wednesday lecture for the George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University.
His lecture-- "Who's in Charge Here?"--will present his observations as a reporter of the secular powers of our times. The lecture will be in the chapel of the First Baptist Church of Waco, 500 Webster. A reception will follow. The lecture and reception are free and open to the public.
Murchison is a "Viewpoints" columnist for the Dallas Morning News and the author of Reclaiming Morality in America. His work also appears in The Wall Street Journal, National Review and Policy Review. Murchison's column is distributed by Creators Syndicate of Los Angeles.
He holds degrees from the University of Texas and Stanford University. Murchison, a native of Corsicana, is a member of the ecumenical advisory board of the Thomas Moore Institute, the Episcopal Synod of America and The Philadelphia Society.
