Colin Franklin to Speak at Armstrong Browning Feb. 3

Colin Franklin, bibliophile and dealer from Oxford, England, will speak at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, in the Armstrong-Browning Library on the campus of Baylor University.

Franklin will speak on "Shakespeare in the 18th Century." He is the author of Shakespeare Domesticated: The Eighteenth-Century Editions and Book Collecting as One of the Fine Arts. He also will discuss and display volumes from the Stokes Collection of Shakespeare editions in the Armstrong-Browning Library.

Franklin is an authority on editions of Shakespeare and is on tour for a month in the United States. He also will speak in Cincinnati, Ohio; San Francisco, Calif; Dallas; and Austin.
