Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business Hosts Dale P. Jones Business Ethics Forum

WACO, Texas (Oct. 31, 2014) – Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business will host its ninth annual Dale P. Jones Business Ethics Forum, “Leading with Ethics,” Nov. 4-14.
The forum engages students, faculty, alumni and business leaders in discussions of major ethical issues facing the business world and will include case competitions, luncheons and guest speakers.
The MBA National Case Competition in Ethical Leadership will take place Nov. 14. Participating teams from schools across the nation will analyze ethical issues in areas including finance, information security, marketing, entrepreneurship and accounting.
“Students enjoy the opportunity to wrestle with ethical issues in leadership and appreciate the interactions with the judging teams made up of business professionals and faculty members,” said Mitch Neubert, Ph.D., professor and the Chavanne Chair of Christian Ethics in Business in Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business.
The competition was established to promote rigorous reflection on the importance of ethical leadership in organizations, said Neubert, and it is the only one of its kind in the country.
“Hosting such a competition made sense in light of the fact that ethics has been, and continues to be, an essential component of our DNA at the Hankamer School of Business,” Neubert said.
