Judah & The Lion to Perform During Baylor’s Homecoming Parade and Feel Good Fest

WACO, Texas (Oct. 30, 2014) — Nashville-based bluegrass folk group Judah & the Lion will perform twice during Baylor University’s Homecoming celebration on Saturday, Nov. 1.
The group will perform during the Baylor Homecoming parade, which begins at 8:30 a.m. at 17th Street and Austin Avenue in downtown Waco and proceeds to Fifth Street on the Baylor campus.
At the conclusion of the parade at 11 a.m., Judah & the Lion will perform at Uproar Records’ inaugural Feel Good Fest in the SUB Bowl outside of the Bill Daniel Student Center. The Feel Good Festival also will feature sets by Uproar Records artists, food trucks and vendors. Admission to the festival is free.
The three members of Judah & the Lion met at Belmont University and developed their bluegrass and folk influenced sound in Nashville. Their EP “Sweet Tennessee” made it to No. 1 on the iTunes “Singer/Songwriter” chart and landed in the Top 25 overall albums chart.
“Judah and the Lion is one of the biggest up-and-coming bands out of Nashville right now,” said Uproar president and artist Trannie Stevens. “They're the next big thing, and Baylor gets to be a part of it.”
Uproar Records hopes the Feel Good Fest will become an important part of Baylor University’s annual homecoming traditions.
“I'm just excited to see it play out,” said Uproar Records artist Luke Hicks, “There's so much potential for the whole thing, and I can really see it becoming one of the better parts of the Baylor homecoming tradition.”
Uproar Records partners with the Baylor Venue and Event Marketing class to market Uproar events and concerts.
