Treadwell Joins Truett Faculty at Baylor

WACO, Texas - The George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University has announced William C. Treadwell Jr. will join the faculty as associate professor of Christian education and leadership/administration, effective June 1.
Treadwell currently is minister of education at First Baptist Church of Waco and an adjunct professor for Truett. He also has served as an adjunct professor at Boyce School, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Lander College.
"Bill is a nationally-known consultant in church leadership and conflict resolution ministry," said Dr. Brad Creed, dean of Truett Seminary. "We welcome the addition of his expertise to our faculty."
Treadwell has co-authored two books with Larry M. McSwain: Conflict Ministry in the Church and Church Organizations Alive.
His church leadership positions include senior educator and staff coordinator at Myers Park Baptist Church in Charlotte, N.C.; pastor at Faith Baptist Church in Georgetown, Ky., First Baptist Church in Jefferson, Ga., and Liberty Baptist Church in Summerville, Tenn. He was co-pastor of Fernwood Baptist Church in Spartanburg, S.C. He served as minister of education at Crescent Hill Baptist Church in Louisville, Ky., First Baptist Church in Greenwood, S.C., Oakland Baptist Church in Rock Hill, S.C., Audubon Baptist Church in Louisville, Ky., and First Baptist Church in Shelbyville, Tenn.
Treadwell holds a bachelor of science degree from Union University and a master's degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also has pursued studies in adult education at the University of Indiana.
He and his wife, Lu, reside in Waco.
