Welcome Weekend Scheduled for Jan. 9-12

Students who are new to Baylor University can learn about the university and Waco during Welcome Weekend which runs Jan. 9-12 at various locations on campus.
Geared for incoming transfer students, Welcome Weekend participants will enjoy a variety of activities. The group plans to attend the basketball game between Baylor and Kansas Saturday at the Ferrell Center. A night out in Waco also is scheduled. Mixers and games designed to introduce transfers to each other are planned. Students will eat meals together as a group.
Whereas Welcome Week, the annual orientation before the fall semester, is geared toward Baylor freshmen, Welcome Weekend targets transfers from other colleges and universities. New and past transfer students are invited to attend.
Orientation for Welcome Weekend begins at 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, in Bennett Auditorium in the Draper Academic Building.
