WACO, Texas (July 9, 2014) – Baylor University again has been named a “Best Buy,” this time in the 2015 edition of the best-selling Fiske Guide to Colleges.

Baylor is one of only 44 public and private colleges and universities to be included on Fiske’s “Best Buy List,” which is based on four- or five-star academic rankings, affordable cost and high quality of student life on campus. Baylor was one of three Big 12 universities and six Texas institutions named to the list.

The authors of the new 2015 edition of The Fiske Guide to Colleges selected Baylor as a "Best Buy" based on the quality of the university's academic programs and campus experience in relation to the cost of attendance. From that combined data, the Fiske researchers determined Baylor offered one of the best values in higher education.

For more than 30 years, The Fiske Guide to Colleges has provided college-bound students and their parents an insider's look at the academic climates and the social and extracurricular scenes at the "best and most interesting" schools in the United States, Canada and Great Britain. The guide's author, Edward B. Fiske, served for 17 years as education editor of The New York Times. He also is the author of the Fiske Guide to Getting Into the Right College.
