Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative Welcomes L-3 Platform Systems Sector President Nick Farah

WACO, Texas (April 22, 2014) – Baylor’s Research and Innovation Collaborative (BRIC) will welcome Nick Farah, president of the L-3 Platform Systems Sector, at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 24, in the Baylor Sciences Building, Room B110.
Farah will present his lecture titled “The Importance of Strong Collaborative Research Bonds between Industry and Higher Education,” which will include strategic and practical perspectives on the aerospace industry.
An advocate of partnering with technical vocational and higher educational institutions, Farah has overseen the establishment of collaborative projects that take advantage of the resources available from Texas State Technical College, McLennan Community College and Baylor University. L-3 Communications has 20 aerospace engineers in the BRIC to support ongoing collaborative projects with Baylor researchers.
