Baylor Department of English Presents 20th Annual Beall Poetry Festival

WACO, Texas (March 24, 2014) – The department of English in Baylor’s College of Arts & Sciences will host the 20th annual Beall Poetry Festival Wednesday, March 26, through Friday, March 28. The three-day celebration of contemporary poets will include readings, a panel discussion and the Virginia Beall Ball Lecture on Contemporary Poetry.
Notable guests will include American poets Andrew Hudgins and Christian Wiman, Belarusian poet Valzhyna Mort and Ronald Schuchard, Goodrich C. White Professor of English at Emory University.

Virginia Beall Ball Lecture in Contemporary Poetry: "In the heartland of the ordinary: Seamus Heaney, Thomas Hardy, and the Divided Traditions of Modern and Contemporary Poetry," by Ronald Schuchard
