Baylor University Presents 2013 Christmas Activities

WACO, Texas (Dec. 2, 2013) - Baylor University will present its annual Christmas activities, including Christmas on Fifth Street, Christmas at Baylor and the annual carillon recital, beginning Monday, Dec. 2.
The carillon recital, presented by Baylor University Carillonneur Lynette Geary, will begin at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, on the McLane Carillon in Pat Neff Hall Tower, 1320 S. 7th Street. The recital is free of charge and open to the public.
Weather permitting, the public is invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets to Founders Mall in front of Pat Neff Hall. Printed programs will be available before the performance.
Christmas on Fifth Street activities will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5. Activities include: carriage rides, a petting zoo, a live nativity, pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, a Christmas tree lighting, and the movie "Elf" will be screened on the lawn.
The schedule and locations of musical performances during Christmas on Fifth Street are as follows:

? 6:45 pm: Columbus Ave. Baptist Church Handbells - Vera Daniel Plaza
? 7:15 pm: Baylor Religious Hour Choir - Barfield Drawing Room
? 7:30 pm: Columbus Ave. Baptist Church Handbells - Vera Daniel Plaza
? 8 pm: Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors - Burleson Quadrangle
? 9 pm: The Kappa Pickers - Burleson Quadrangle
? 9:30 pm: Mat Kearney - Burleson Quadrangle

The Christmas at Baylor concerts will feature the many choirs of Baylor and the award-winning Baylor Symphony Orchestra in a festive concert for all ages. The concert will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. All performances are sold out.
