Baylor Weather Update - University Open Monday

WACO, Texas (Nov. 25, 2013) - Baylor University will operate its regular schedule today, as classes will be held and all offices are open.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon today, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.

9 p.m. CST Update, Nov. 24, 2013

WACO, Texas (Nov. 24, 2013) - The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has canceled the Winter Storm Warning for our area. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon Monday.

Temperatures will be warmer than previously thought, although a chance of a mix of rain and sleet with some freezing rain could possibly occur overnight tonight through Monday. Read the full advisory here.

Officials will monitor the weather overnight, although the university does not anticipate any disruption to regular business operations on Monday.

Any change to the university's schedule will be made by 6 a.m. Monday and communicated to all students, faculty and staff through email, the University's web page at www.baylor.edu, on Twitter @Baylor and local media.

WACO, Texas (Nov. 24, 2013) - McLennan County and the city of Waco are currently under a Winter Weather Warning in effect until noon tomorrow (Monday, Nov. 25). Forecasters predict a chance of sleet or light ice accumulations during the day and overnight hours.

While the university does not presently anticipate any disruption to regular business operations, Baylor officials are monitoring the weather and will communicate any changes to all students, faculty and staff through email, the University's web page at www.baylor.edu, on Twitter @Baylor and local media. Any change to Baylor's schedule will be made by 6 a.m. Monday.
