Obama's Domestic Policies and Conservatives' Responses Will Be the Topic of a Friday Lecture at Baylor

WACO, Texas (Oct. 31, 2013) -- "Barack Obama and the Veil of Transparency" will be the topic of a lecture at Baylor University on Friday by James Darsey, Ph.D., a professor of communication at Georgia State University.
The event, which will be free and open to the public, will be at 1 p.m. in Marrs McLean Science Building, Room 301, 1214 S. Fourth St.
It is hosted by Baylor's department of communication and the Baylor Interdisciplinary Core.
The lecture will examine President Obama's rhetorical strategy in light of conservatives' response to his domestic policies as well as current events, including debates over raising the debt ceiling, the government shutdown led by Tea Party opposition to the Affordable Care Act and general Congressional stalemates.
