Baylor Homecoming Event Times Set for Oct. 16-19 Celebration

WACO, Texas (Oct. 8, 2013) - With the announcement of a 6 p.m. kickoff for the Homecoming football game on Saturday, Oct. 19, all event times have been set for Baylor University's 104th anniversary Homecoming Oct. 16-19 on the Baylor campus.
The oldest collegiate Homecoming celebration in the nation will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 16, with a 7 p.m. worship service at Waco Hall. The rest of the week includes such beloved Baylor Homecoming traditions as:
Oct. 17 Freshman Mass Meeting, 11 p.m., Waco Hall
Oct. 17-19 Pigskin Revue, various times, Waco Hall
Oct. 18 East Village Residential Community Dedication, 2 p.m., Teal Residential College courtyard
Oct. 18 Class Reunion Dinners, various times and locations
Oct. 18 Extravaganza and Bonfire, 6 p.m., Fountain Mall
Oct. 18 Friday Night Flashback, 7 p.m., Bill Daniel Student Center
Oct. 18 Singspiration, 7 p.m., Seventh and James Baptist Church

The Baylor Homecoming parade - believed to be the largest collegiate Homecoming parade in the nation - will begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at Eighth and Austin in downtown Waco and is expected to arrive on Fifth Street on the Baylor campus at 9 a.m. The parade will be carried live beginning at 9 a.m. on KCEN-TV Ch. 6 in Waco. The broadcast also will be available online to the Baylor family anywhere in the world through a live stream on the Homecoming website.
Pigskin Revue performances are sold out, with the exception of the 7 p.m. performance on Thursday, Oct. 17.
Due to the 6 p.m. kickoff for the Saturday, Oct. 19 football game, that night's scheduled 7 p.m. performance of Pigskin Revue has been moved up to 1:30 p.m. at Waco Hall. Tickets purchased for the Saturday show are still valid, despite the change in time.
The Bill Daniel Student Center Ticket Office will extend its hours of operation to 5 p.m. for the remainder of this week (excluding Friday, Oct. 11, which is Fall Break) and the early part of next week to address any questions or concerns. Baylor's annual Homecoming celebration will conclude at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, with the football game between the Bears and the Iowa State Cyclones. It will be televised live nationally on ESPNU.
March of the Bears will begin approximately three hours before kickoff as the team arrives at Floyd Casey Stadium. Baylor fans are asked to meet at the Baylor Alumni Network tailgate tent and fill the path leading to the south gate of the stadium.
Baylor is off to a 4-0 start to the season for the first time since 1991 and is ranked No. 15 in both the AP Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches Poll. Before Homecoming, the Bears will play their first road game of the year at 2:30 p.m. this Saturday, as they travel to Manhattan, Kan., to face the Kansas State Wildcats. That game will be broadcast on FOX.
