WACO, Texas (Sept. 10, 2013) - As the nation pauses to reflect on the 12th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, Baylor University Carillonneur Lynnette Geary will play a recital in memory of those who perished in the assaults at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, on the McLane Carillon in Pat Neff Hall Tower.

The recital will begin with former University Carillonneur Herbert Colvin's arrangement of the "Doxology," followed by "In Memoriam--September 11, 2011" by John Courter.

A set of hymns associated with the armed forces will come next. These will consist of "God of Our Fathers" (Army), "Almighty Father, Strong to Save" (Navy), "From the Halls of Montezuma" (Marines), and "Lord, Guide and Guard the Men Who Fly" (Air Force).

Also to be heard are Milford Myhre's arrangement of the Gaelic tune, "St. Columba" and the Herbert Colvin setting of "Amazing Grace."

Closing the program will be an arrangement by John Courter of William Henry Monk's "Abide with Me" and Roy Hamlin Johnson's arrangement of the plainsong "In Paradisum."
