New :30 spot airs Saturday during Baylor-Wofford game on FOX Sports Net

WACO, Texas (Aug. 30, 2013) - Baylor University will debut a new commercial during Saturday's nationally televised football game between Baylor and Wofford at 6:35 p.m. at Floyd Casey Stadium.

Over the course of the :30-second spot, this year's Baylor TV ad underscores a number of essential and defining themes for the University: academic excellence, Christian commitment, servant leadership, global reach, and a sustained focus on Baylor's distinct mission. The commercial was produced by Baylor University's Division of Marketing and Communications and Proof Advertising of Austin.

"We think the spot will stand out from promotional pieces that you'll see during athletic contests featuring other national universities," said John Barry, vice president for marketing and communications at Baylor. "We think it delivers a powerful, timely and relevant message about our University, and that viewers will find it visually interesting enough to watch multiple times over forthcoming seasons."

The Baylor commercial will be aired during televised broadcasts of Baylor athletic events.

Script for 2013-14 Baylor University :30 Institutional Commercial

Nobody knows when a mission will take hold of you.
It just shows up one day. In your gut. Your heart.
Suddenly you feel compelled by a deeper sense of purpose
to discover something
or break something
or help someone.
You don't have to go to space or cross vast oceans to be on a mission.
But you might.
And just when you think you've given everything you thought you could,
it takes even more.
More faith.
More sweat.
More sacrifice.
Because that's how it goes,
when you're on a mission.
