WACO, Texas (Aug. 27, 2013) - Baylor University is proud to announce that its three engineering programs--engineering, electrical and computer engineering, and mechanical engineering--were recently reaccredited by ABET. ABET currently accredits more than 3,100 applied science, computing, engineering and engineering technology programs throughout the globe.

Accreditation is particularly important for our students," said Dennis O'Neal, dean of the School of Engineering and Computer Science. "Graduating from an ABET accredited program is also one of the requirements for obtaining a professional license as an engineer."

First accredited in 1989, Baylor's engineering programs comprise more than 600 undergraduate and graduate students.
