Armstrong-Browning Library to Host Conference Oct. 10-12

ARMSTRONG-BROWNING LIBRARY TO HOST CONFERENCE OCT. 10-12
The Baylor University Armstrong-Browning Library will host the international conference "John Ruskin and Victorian Culture" Oct. 10-12 featuring leading American and European scholars discussing Victorian author and artist John Ruskin.
There will be an opening reception at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, in Cox Reception Hall of the Library and a banquet at 7 p.m. in the Barfield Drawing Room of the Bill Daniel Student Center. C. Stephen Finley of Haverford College in Haverford, Pa., will be the banquet's featured speaker and admission is $25.
Beginning Friday, Oct. 11 scholars will speak in four sessions throughout the day in the Hankamer Treasure Room of the Hankamer School of Business. Admission is $15 for the luncheon, which will be held at 12:15 p.m in the Blume Conference Center of Hankamer. There will be two more sessions Saturday, Oct. 12.
"The purpose of the conference is to bring scholars to Baylor and show them the resources we have to offer," Melissa Smith, Armstrong-Browning Library office coordinator, said.
