Department of Environmental Science Welcomes Winstead Attorney Christopher Pepper

WACO, Texas (April 8, 2013)--The department of environmental science in Baylor University's College of Arts & Sciences is pleased to welcome Christopher Pepper, J.D., a shareholder of Winstead's Energy & Environmental Practice Group.
The lecture will take place at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, in Room B 110 of the Baylor Sciences Building, 101 Bagby Ave.
Pepper is recognized throughout Texas for his experience in guiding clients through all stages of the environmental permitting process, including initial application, technical review, and public notice and meeting procedures.
His practice focuses on air quality and environmental matters relating to laws and regulatory programs established by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Pepper represents clients in contested proceedings before the State Office of Administrative Hearings and also serves as a senior research associate at Texas Tech University.
"Chris has demonstrated a unique ability to engage real world challenges in a practical manner by coupling scientific and legal principles. Chris has led significant environmental and intellectual property advances. Baylor University students will benefit greatly from hearing his thoughts and experiences," said Dr. George Cobb, chairman of environmental science in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Pepper has developed legal experience in the Texas Clear Air Act, Edwards Aquifer Water Pollution Abatement Plans, Emission Banking and Trading Programs and more. He also has represented various companies in their efforts to contest air quality permits.
