Dr. Todd Still and Taylor Hoogendoorn will serve one-year terms as non-voting members of the University's governing board

WACO, Texas (Feb. 21, 2013) - Baylor University Board of Regents Chairman Richard Willis announced today that Todd D. Still, Ph.D., professor of Christian Scriptures, holder of The William M. Hinson Chair of Christian Scriptures at George W. Truett Theological Seminary and chair of the University's Faculty Senate, and Taylor Hoogendoorn, a junior Baylor Business Fellow from Elmhurst, Ill., with majors in economics, finance and mathematics, have been elected to serve one-year terms as non-voting Faculty and Student Regents, respectively. Their terms will begin on June 1. This is the second year that Dr. Still has been selected by Baylor Regents while Mr. Hoogendoorn will fill a seat vacated by current Student Regent Kelly Rapp, who will conclude his service to the board when he graduates in May.

"We are honored that Dr. Still will continue his service as Faculty Regent, and we welcome to the board as our Student Regent Taylor Hoogendoorn." Willis said. "Dr. Still is a widely respected member of our academic community who has provided valuable perspective to board deliberation during the past year. Taylor is an exceptionally thoughtful and accomplished Baylor student who will share from his own experiences and views as a student to assist in the collaborative decision-making of the board. Together, our new Regents are brilliant scholars, who are passionate about their Christian faith and excited about Baylor University's future progress under our Pro Futuris strategic vision."
