Baylor to Host WMU Leadership Conference Aug. 7-10

July 29, 1996

The 46th annual Texas Leadership Conference of the Woman's Missionary Union (WMU) will be held on the Baylor University campus Aug. 7-10.

The conference will be divided into two sessions with session I running Wednesday through Friday, and session II on Friday and Saturday.

The theme for both sessions of the conference is "Hand in Hand." According to Joy Fenner of the WMU of Texas, the theme recognizes partnerships with each other and other Christians in missions and ministry. The focus of the conference is to offer leadership training to mobilize missions. Speakers will include state, home and foreign missionaries.

In addition to training, there will be theme interpretations, music worship, prayer, testimonies and missions challenges.

Both sessions of the conference will offer training in English and Spanish. Session I also will also provide conferences in the Korean language, and session II will offer training in the Cambodian, Chinese and Laotian languages.
