Baylor to Host Conference for the Deaf June 7-9

Baylor University will host the 47th annual Texas Baptist Conference for the Deaf June 7-9 with an estimated 325 people expected to attend the event.
The conference has been sponsored by the Baptist General Convention of Texas since 1949. Baylor has been the site of the conference for 16 consecutive years.
Registration for the conference will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, June 7, in Alexander Residence Hall. The $70 fee covers meals, lodging, insurance and facility fees.
The conference will begin Friday evening in Bennett auditorium with a performance by music evangelists Mark and Beth Mitchum.
On Saturday morning there will be workshops in the Draper Academic Building. Saturday afternoon a "Missions Fair" will be held, featuring the Texas Baptist Men Disaster Unit, displays from divisions and departments of the Baptist General Convention of Texas, and refreshments. The fair is open to the public.
On Saturday at 7 p.m. there will be a Gala Music Festival in Waco Hall, including performances by Mark and Beth Mitchum. It is also open to the public.
The conference concludes with Sunday school and worship services on Sunday morning.
