Baylor to Host Band and Orchestra Camp June 2-8

The Baylor University School of Music will hold its annual Senior High Band and Orchestra Camp June 2-8 in the Glennis McCrary Music Building.
More than 260 students entering grades 10-12 are registered for the camp which offers a week of music instruction to be taught by Baylor instrumental music faculty.
The students audition at the beginning of camp and are placed in ensembles. During the week, morning to mid-afternoon activities will include ensemble rehearsals, sectionals, and master class lessons followed by afternoon recreation, including swimming, bowling, tennis, canoeing and paddle boating.
The students will perform a Grand Concert at the end of the week at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 8, in the Jones Concert Hall of the Glennis McCrary Music Building. The concert is free and open to the public.
The camp fee is $275, which includes tuition, housing, meals and activities.
