First Dance for Baylor Alumni Set for May 18

May 8, 1996

WACO, Texas - Following in the foot steps of the students, Baylor University alumni plan to hold the first dance for Baylor graduates from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday, May 18, on the Fifth Floor of the Cashion Academic Center in the Hankamer School of Business.
The Baylor Alumni Association will host the Gala Alumni Dance to help raise funds for The Alumni Campaign, a fund-raising effort to renovate and expand the Hughes-Dillard Alumni Center.
The dance will feature the Austin band, The Beamers. The dance is black tie optional and will cost $150 per couple and $75 for single tickets. Special Sponsorships for the dance may be purchased for $1,000.
"The students had the honor of holding the first dance on campus on Diadeloso, but we are pleased the alumni will not be far behind in making their mark on Baylor history," said Ray Burchette, executive vice president of the Baylor Alumni Association. "We hope alumni will take this opportunity to have a good time with Baylor friends and support the alumni association."
Reserved parking near the business school will be available. A buffet breakfast will be served at 10 p.m.
Baylor graduates may request an invitation from the Alumni Association at 1-800-BAYLOR-U, ext 6.
