The Tau Alpha Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity at Baylor University will host the Eight Annual Battle on the Burning Sands Step Show at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Waco Hall, 624 Speight Ave.
The show is a stepping competition between fraternities and sororities from Baylor and other universities. Prize money will be awarded to the first-and second-place winners from the men's and women's divisions.
This year will feature host actor Marion "Pooch" Hall, who plays the football player Derwin Davis on BET's top-rated series "The Game."

Baylor's Alpha Phi Alpha chapter was officially chartered by the fraternity on Aug. 1, 1993, becoming the 796th House of Alpha. The chapter received its Baylor charter and became the first black Greek-letter fraternity in the history of Baylor on Oct. 17, 1993.
