WACO, Texas (May 13, 2016) – At its regular spring meeting, the Baylor University Board of Regents attended to a variety of matters related to the business of the University. The Board received a comprehensive briefing from Pepper Hamilton LLP, whose services were retained by the Board in September 2015 to conduct an independent and external investigation of the University’s response to reports of sexual and interpersonal violence. Over the coming weeks, the Board will carefully consider the information provided in the briefing and determine how to decisively act upon Pepper Hamilton’s findings and recommendations. The members of the Board will be guided by their faith as they make significant decisions for the welfare of Baylor students, the direction of the institution and the good of Baylor Nation.

WACO, Texas (May 12, 2016) – Today marks the official kickoff of a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) between Baylor University’s School of Engineering and Computer Science and the U.S. Army Research Laboratory (ARL). Through the CRADA, Baylor professors in the department of electrical and computer engineering will work alongside professors from Purdue University to develop next-generation radar transmitters for the 21st century.

On May 3, the spring 2016 “Philanthropy and the Public Good” class of 19 students presented $52,500 in grants to nine local nonprofit organizations during a ceremony in the President’s Suite at McLane Stadium.
