I-35 Update: TONIGHT - Overnight Closure of Northbound I-35 Mainline North of Campus

Beginning tonight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., TxDOT plans to close a section of the northbound I-35 mainlanes north of the Baylor campus from US 84/Waco Drive to N. Loop 340 to continue work reconstructing the northbound mainlanes.

What you need to know:

• To be closed overnight tonight: Right northbound I-35 mainlane from US 84/Waco Drive to N. Loop 340 and the northbound I-35 entrance ramp at US 84/Waco Drive.
• Also during this time, crews plan to close small sections of the left northbound mainlane from US 84/Waco Drive to N. Loop 340.
• Each closed section will reopen before the next section is closed and traffic will be stopped to allow crews to complete work before reopening the left mainlane and allowing traffic through.

Signage will be placed prior to US 84/Waco Drive warning travelers of the closures and drivers are encouraged to use the northbound I-35 frontage road during this time. Other intermittent closures may be needed, please pay attention to all detour signage and traffic control.
